About The Lodge
Welcome to Nkuri Chimp Lodge – Small Spaces Create The Biggest Hearts
Nkuri Chimp Lodge is a small lodge beautifully set in the village of Nkingo located in Kamwenge/Fort Portal district at the borders of Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park is one of Uganda’s top primate destinations home to about 1,450 chimpanzees. It also boasts over 375 bird species and many crater lakes making it one of the country’s most remarkable destinations. The lodge is only a 5-minute drive from Kanyanchu Visitor Centre where chimpanzee tracking begins.
Located in the community village of Kishojo, a common hub for forest elephants, the lodge was born from the unique relationship between tourism, agriculture and the surrounding wildlife. You may even experience elephants visiting the lodge at night. A variety of trees around the property creates a beautiful forest that attracts many bird species singing harmoniously.
